Detail

Spatial Design Architects were commissioned to design and secure planning approval for a replacement new build family dwelling at Home Farm.

The proposed new build dwelling is designed in a traditional style to reflect the rural changer of its Metropolitan Green Belt setting.

The main architectural features incorporate a dual-gable frontage with decorative timber gallows brackets, projecting bay elements and a central entrance.

The elevations are formed in red brickwork complemented with brick quoin corners and hanging tile façades. A first-floor balcony provides an elevated outlook across the landscaped grounds, enhancing the sense of indoor-outdoor living.

A single storey garage wing is positioned to the side of the dwelling, integrated into the overall composition to provide functional accommodation while remaining subservient to the main house.

This combination of traditional materials and contemporary glazing creates a cohesive design that is well-suited to modern family living, while remaining sympathetic to its rural context.
